About the Artist: Ley Ninon Potter
For my whole life, some emotions have felt near impossible to communicate verbally. Luckily, I know how to communicate the more complex feelings visually. It is not necessarily important to me that my art is understood by others, instead I'm simply thankful for the significant relief I get, releasing some of the intricate energy from my mind. If through these experiences, others do connect, then our journeys can only be strengthened with the shared perspective. For me, exploring the mind and how thoughts work is fascinating enough to study for the rest of time. I only wish to continue putting the verbally inexplicable into the visually tangible.
Artistic Journey
All children make art, I never stopped. Since early on though, listening to others' opinions on how to create has not worked for me. I enjoy teaching myself throughout experiences in my own life. When I dress myself, clean a space, change my hair, have conversations, and everything else, art is being created, because I decide that it is. I admire the beauty and the grotesque in all things, leaving the possibilities endless, and every experience, a learning one.
